Can I send a link as a Google calendar event?
The “publish event” option creates a URL which you can share with people if your calendar is publicly visible, (or possibly share with individuals you have shared your calendar with?) Anyone who goes to the shared URL will get a copy of the event (without any notes in the original event) on their own calendar. Because it’s a copy of the event, any changes you make won’t be reflected on the other users' calendars.
If you don’t want to make your calendar public, or are looking for people to basically be linked to your event so any changes are reflected in both places, you should add them as guests on the event.
